Lajos Geenen is featured today on Arcademi, an art and design blog in Germany. The blog which was created to "be a habitat for young creators, a place to connect libertines and to advance talents, a grove for people to evolve, and to admire astonishing positions in creation," found the "Symbiosis" series particularly interesting. Take a peek at the blog post and also Lajos' website!

Happy Friday! We took a mini Photo Phriday holiday hiatus but we're back!

Earlier this month Colossal (great art and design blog) featured a story on an awesome installation at the Queensland Gallery of Modern Art. Artist Yayoi Kusama created "The Obliteration Room" by taking a standard exhibition room and transforming it into a modern (colorless) domestic space fully equip with tables, chairs and various other household items. The white room serves as a blank canvas for the young visitors who are then provided with unlimited access to all different colored stickers upon entry into the exhibit. Take a peek at the evolution of the room and the end result of the interactive experience.

Pretty cool, huh? It's safe to say that if there were more exhibits like this when I was a kid, I wouldn't have given my parents such a hard time every time the word "Museum" entered a sentence!

Have a great weekend!

Model it-girl Karlie Kloss first graced the glossies with a fashion spread in Teen Vogue at the tender age of 15. She's since grown up (18!), and so has her portfolio. You can find Karlie on the pages of every major fashion magazine and as the face of numerous luxury brands. This week, she's the subject of Shopping Snapshots in the New York Times, shot by Lee Clower. Check out the young muse's high/low style here!

The cover of this month's Parents magazine isn't only special because our very own Lucy Schaeffer shot it, but because Lucy produced and art directed the entire shoot herself, with the help of stylist Martha Bernabe! We are so delighted to see Lucy's creativity and hardwork in this beautiful cover shot.

"Hey, what is that on that card?" a man turned and asked in the elevator after catching a glimpse of David Sykes most recent promo card. "I've seen those codes everywhere, but what are they? what do they mean?"

Here was the image on the card (more after the jump):

Chances are you have seen an image like this considering QR codes are rampant these days! However, all of the ones that you've seen were (most likely) created on a computer. David Sykes took a different approach.

Sykes gathered a variety of items including boots, microphones, hair dryers and briefcases and arranged them to create this masterpeice! After putting all of the objects in the right pattern to create the code, David took an aerial shot in his studio. The coolest part? It actually works! Note: the code must be printed. It will not work if you try to scan the code from the computer. But with that, grab your smartphone or Ipad and enjoy!

Happy scanning!
